At its annual meeting this year in Chicago, The Stone Carvers Guild elected Amy as the first woman to its board of directors. The Stone Carvers Guild is a national organization of architectural carvers that Amy describes as “a special group, with a lot of patience, realism, humor, integrity and gentleness”.

Amy is the founder of Bloomington’s annual Limestone Sculpture Symposium. She participated in Ivy Tech’s Limestone Duet in 2008, and recently taught “Introduction to Stone Carving” at the Center for Life Long Learning, Amy Currently teaches “Survey of Art and Culture” as a dual credit class for sophmores at New Tech High School.
